Founded by Carmella M. Williams, the Intentional Development Group’s vision to provide expert business consulting and direct small business investments emerged through connecting unique funding opportunities from government and foundations. Carmella, an experienced business consultant with a background in business development and social & economic impact work, saw an opportunity to create a nonprofit that combines business acumen with a heart for community change.
IDG’s journey began in 2020, when there was a recognized need for small business consulting services tailored specifically for smaller enterprises. Unlike larger entities that focus on big-ticket clients, IDG prides itself on being accessible, agile, and client-centered. Since our inception, we have worked with hundreds of clients across a wide range of industries, helping them navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and amplify their impact.
